75% Nd₂O₃ + 25% Pr₆O₁₁

Neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) oxide

A high-purity rare earth compound essential for the manufacturing of NdFeB permanent magnets, NdPr oxide is the cornerstone material enabling the world’s most efficient motors, actuators, and generators.

Product details

NdPr oxide is the primary raw material for these magnets, which are known for their exceptional magnetic strength and high energy density.

Sustainably Produced in California

Our NdPr oxide is mined, separated, and refined at the Mountain Pass Rare Earth Mine and Processing Facility in California. As the sole, large-scale producer in the Western Hemisphere, we ensure unmatched quality, provenance, and reliability, helping our customers diversify critical supply chains.

Extremely High Purity

MP’s extraction and refining processes consistently produce high-purity compounds exceeding 99.5% NdPr/TREO, meeting or surpassing the stringent requirements of high-performance magnet manufacturers. Our NdPr oxide has been qualified by the world’s most scrupulous customers and is integrated into the supply chains of three of the world’s five largest automakers.

Rigorous Quality Control

Our on-site Analytical Laboratory conducts in-process sampling and testing to ensure each lot meets customer specifications. This comprehensive approach maintains the highest standards of quality control from production through delivery. Mountain Pass is an ISO 9001-certified site.

Available at scale

Our automated and sealed packaging system accommodates 1,000 kg poly-lined supersacks, as well as other packaging options tailored to customer needs, ensuring safe transport and storage. We are prepared to fulfill domestic and international orders and multi-year contracts ranging from 10 MT up to 1,000 MT or more.
